Augmented Terraria Online does just that: it augments the forum. Among other things it combines consecutive profile comments, puts thread titles in the page title, prevents you from losing a message your authoring if you accidentally navigate away from the site and much more. It is up to the user what features he or she uses: everything can be toggled on or off in the options!
